ArcBox Batten Mount for Tile, battens 22-25mm thickness - box of 12

These brackets fit Viridian's ArcBox enclosure securely to a roof tile batten. The ArcBox enclosure simply snaps around a DC connector to reduce the risk that an arc-fault situation develops into a damaging fire. 

For roof-integrated solar systems, a batten bracket hooks over tile battens to hold the ArcBox in the batten space behind the solar panels or solar tiles.

The ArcBox - reducing fire risks in Solar PV

The number of solar installations is growing fast and with it the risk that mistakes assembling DC connectors lead to fires.

The ArcBox enclosure simply snaps around a DC connector to ensure that if an arc ever occurs it is safely contained and doesn't spread to combustible materials in or around the solar installation. The effectiveness of the product has been independently verified by the KIWA fire test laboratory and Loughborough University.

Ideally, use it on the manually crimped connector - two per string

This connector is compatible with 10 mm² section cables having an overall diameter between 5.9 and 8.8 mm.

The MC4-Evo2 is the latest addition to the Multi-Contact Stäubli PV connector portfolio. Great for high voltage applications, these new connectors are internationally certified and are approved for 1500 V DC (IEC, JET), 1000 V DC (UL) unrestricted access.

MC4-Evo2 connectors are suited for all climatic environments thanks to resistance to UV, ammonia, salt-mist spray and high IP class (IP68). MC4 crimping tools can be used.

These connectors require the correct crimping tool to ensure a solid connection to the field cable. We can supply the relevant tools if required.

As an alternative, the MC4Evo2 is a new addition to the MC4 range by Staubli, addressing the higher voltage output of the new, larger modules. The Evo2 model is almost identical in function and installation as the previous model, but is rated at 1500 Volts which is common for the larger 350+ W modules in the market today.

Staubli MC4 Open-end Spanner Set PV-MS (set of 2)

These spanner tools are used for assembly of Staubli MC4 connectors only. They can be used for disconnecting a mated pair of locked connectors, tightening cable glands, and securing the connector.
