Payment Security

Alternergy is committed to maintaining appropriate standards of payment security across its business operations.

For applicable card payment processes, Alternergy follows the relevant PCI DSS requirements within its scope. PCI DSS, or the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard, is a globally recognised framework designed to support the secure handling of payment card data.

What this means for our customers

When a card payment is made to Alternergy, it is processed through secure payment providers that handle payment card data in accordance with applicable PCI DSS requirements. Appropriate controls and procedures are applied within the relevant payment process to support the protection of cardholder data, including:

  • secure handling of payment card information
  • controlled and restricted access to payment data
  • security controls designed to protect cardholder information
  • ongoing oversight and management of relevant payment security processes

About PCI DSS

PCI DSS was developed to support payment account data security and the broad adoption of consistent security measures. It provides a baseline of technical and operational requirements designed to protect payment card data.

Our approach

As a B2B PV distributor, Alternergy recognises that many commercial and enterprise customers expect suppliers to demonstrate appropriate standards of payment security. Our approach is intended to support customer confidence and the responsible handling of payment information.
