Alternergy supplies Sungrow single-phase rooftop microinverters for UK solar installers and trade professionals. Available in 450W, 800W and 1600W outputs, the range supports one-, two- and four-panel systems for shaded, multi-orientation and space-restricted installations.

Each model provides a 16–60V MPPT range and 22V startup voltage, together with Stäubli MC4 DC connectors, plug-and-play AC connections, IP67 protection, C5 corrosion resistance and fanless natural cooling.
Rooftop and Balcony Applications
The models listed here are designed for professionally installed rooftop systems on homes, garages, sheds and garden rooms, including shaded, east-west and multi-pitch arrays. They connect through Sungrow’s AC trunk-cable system.
Sungrow also manufactures separate S450S and S800S balcony solutions with WLAN and Bluetooth commissioning and a wall-plug AC connection, but these are not currently stocked by Alternergy.
Suitability for UK plug-in use depends on the complete system, connection method and applicable approvals. The UK is introducing a regulatory framework for compliant plug-in solar (Aug 2026), so EU balcony models should not automatically be treated as suitable for a UK household socket.
