In July 2026, Alternergy Ltd celebrates 20 years in business. From that first solar panel sale to today’s wider renewable energy product range, Alternergy has grown into a trusted UK solar distributor, PV wholesaler and supplier to solar professionals across the UK.
Today, Alternergy supports residential, commercial and industrial projects with products from leading manufacturers, including solar panels, inverters, battery storage systems, mounting systems, EV charging products and solar PV accessories.
Supporting the UK Solar Industry Since 2006
When Alternergy started, solar PV was a very different market. Product choice was limited, panel technology was less advanced, and battery storage was not yet a standard part of solar projects.
Since then, the industry has changed dramatically. Solar panels have become more efficient, inverters have become smarter, and battery storage is now central to many residential, commercial and industrial energy projects.
The journey has not always been simple. Over the past two decades, the solar industry has faced policy changes, supply chain disruption, price pressure, international uncertainty and fast-moving technology.
