The Sungrow PowerStack ST510CS-4H is a liquid-cooled battery energy storage system (BESS) designed for commercial and industrial (C&I) applications. Using 314Ah lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells, it delivers 514 kWh of storage capacity with a 125 kW inverter per container, supporting applications such as peak shaving, renewable energy integration, backup power, and demand management. Its all-in-one architecture integrates the PCS, BMS, and battery components in a compact cabinet for simplified installation and operation.
Operating at a 0.25C rate, the system enables a full charge or discharge in around four hours. With over 90% round-trip efficiency, PCS efficiency up to 98.5%, and a design lifetime of up to 20 years, the PowerStack 510CS ensures reliable performance.

The system features a flexible design that allows cabinets to be installed face-to-face, back-to-back, or side-by-side without separation spaces, optimising available site area. It supports up to 25 units in parallel (on-grid mode), scaling system capacity from 510 kWh to 12.85 MWh for larger commercial and industrial energy storage projects.
The system is primarily designed for AC-coupled energy storage systems using its integrated PCS - it can also be integrated into a DC-coupled PV system, depending on system design.
With pre-installed and pre-commissioned components, installation and grid connection are faster and more efficient. System commissioning can be completed quickly through a simplified one-click setup process.

The Sungrow PowerStack features efficient liquid-cooling technology with AI-driven thermal balancing, ensuring uniform heat dissipation and maintaining a cell temperature difference of ≤2.5°C. The system also includes AI-based pack-level health monitoring, continuously analysing cell temperature, current, and voltage to optimise performance, improve energy efficiency, and extend the overall system lifespan.

Designed for extreme conditions, the system operates from -30°C to 50°C , and at altitudes of up to 3,000 meters.
It is designed for outdoor installation and features an IP55 rating for protection against dust and water jets.
In addition, it offers a C5 corrosion resistance - a very high level of corrosion protection. The system is suitable for highly corrosive environments often found, for example, in places with high humidity, in industrial facilities, and coastal areas.

Sungrow ST510CS battery energy storage utilises five layers of safety protection, including multi-level fuse protection, multistage overcurrent protection, fast breaking and arc extinguishing, and over-temperature protection. The system has a separate fire-resistant compartment.

✔  Three-layer Fire Safety to Suppress Thermal Runaway
Sungrow ST510CS-4H provides a three-layer fire safety design, accurate early warning of thermal runaway, timely fire protection, and anti-explosion.
The fire protection system layers:
- Early Warning: it includes a flammable gas detector, a smoke detector, and a heat detector.
- Explosion Venting: Equipped with an explosion vent panel. The cabinet enclosure provides up to 2 hours of fire resistance.
- Fire Protection: extinguish fire immediately to reduce damage. FK5112 gas is used as a fire suppression agent, as well as fire sprinklers .

The system includes advanced local and remote monitoring via the web or iSolarCloud app, providing real-time data and alerts for quick identification and troubleshooting.
