More About Pitched Roof Solar Mounting Systems

Pitched roof PV mounting depends on the roof covering, fixing method and site loading requirements. Tile and slate roofs typically use roof hooks, corrugated metal or fibre cement roofs may require hanger bolts, standing seam roofs use seam clamps, and trapezoidal sheet metal roofs often suit short-rail systems.

K2 Solar Mounting Systems are supported by MCS 012 certification for relevant UK applications. Installers should always check the applicable certificate, manufacturer instructions and project-specific structural guidance.

K2 Pitched Roof System Options

Insertion System – For tile, corrugated fibre cement, corrugated sheet metal and trapezoidal sheet metal roofs where a sleek, low-profile finish is required.
MiniRail System – Compact short-rail solution for trapezoidal sheet metal roofs.
MultiRail System – Flexible short-rail platform for trapezoidal and corrugated sheet metal roofs.
SingleRail System – Broad-use rail system for pantiles, corrugated roofs, fibre cement roofs and standing seam applications with the correct attachments.
SolidRail System – Heavy-duty rail option for tiles, slate, trapezoidal metal, corrugated metal, fibre cement and standing seam roofs.
BasicRail System – Floating rail system for trapezoidal sheet metal roofs, designed to help manage thermal expansion.
CrossHook / CrossRail CrossHook – Flexible option for tile and standing seam roofs, useful where rail positioning needs adjustment.
